Video-Introduction

Page history last edited by Kimberly McCollum 14 years, 11 months ago

This course will involve asynchronous video communication using the CTL Video Blog Tool.  (It is fairly straightforward to use, but here is a Guide to using the CTL Video Blog.)  You login with your BYU netid and password.  Each of you has an individual blog that only you and I can access.   I will be recording weekly messages on the IP&T 286 group blog, including my video introduction.  The IP&T 286 group blog is a blog for the entire class.  There are also group blogs for each content area in this course (science, family and consumer science, and health).  We will be using the content-area group blogs occasionally throughout the semester.  Using video allows you to master an additional technology while helping you and I get to know each other a little better than we would if our conversation were limited entirely to the printed word.

This week you need to record a brief video about yourself.  Please record your message on your personal blog.  When you record your video be sure to answer the following questions:

  • What is your name?
  • Why do you want to be a teacher?
  • What is your experience/comfort level with technology?
  • Why did you decide to take an online course?
  • What is one interesting fact about yourself?
