Content Specific Technologies

This week's activities must be completed by April 6, 2009.  Plan to spend about 1.5 - 2 hours on this week's work.

This Week's Activities

  • Comment on this week's Gospel Insights Presentation(s). Think about the message as well as the presentation of the message.  What have you learned from their presentation?  How will you apply their message in your life?  What suggestions can you offer the author for making the presentation more effective?  What ideas does their presentation give you for future presentations that you may make? (10 minutes)
  • Go to the Video Blog and watch my message about Content Specific Technologies on the IP&T 286 Group blog (5 minutes).
  • Create a sample product based on your plan from last week.  This will vary widely from student to student.  Please contact me if you have any questions.
  • Send Kimberly a link to the product you have created.  (I recommend that you post this link in your classroom web presence.)
  • Record your video critique of your work (15 minutes). Please Include the following information:
    • A brief summary of your revised plan including the content area, grade level, and curricular goals/objectives.
    • An evaluation of your plan based on the criteria in the Content Specific Technologies Rubric.
    • A description of how you applied your technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) to plan this activity for your students.
      • How will the technology used in this activity help your students better understand the topic you are teaching?
    • Any additional ideas or questions that occurred to you while creating your project.
