Scriptures on Work

Page history last edited by Hammari 15 years ago

I would like to apologize to the class for not have last week’s presentation prepared on time.  I unfortunately marked the wrong date on my calendar and did not realize this until Monday March 9, 2009.  Here is my presentation.  I hope my tardiness didn’t inconvenience anyone too much.

I really like the background and the points were well made and supported by the pictures. Well done!

I agree with Jenifer, I love your choice of pictures. A couple thoughts came to mind:
Slide 9 is relevant to a student's life. I appreciate sleep most when I have been extremely busy or when I had an infant keeping me up all night ;). I think there is something to be said for when we sleep after laboring verses sleeping after watching television for the day.
Slide 10: Goes hand in hand with slide 9. Sometimes we try to do more than we are able. This scripture applies to everything in life, even the classroom. We should strive to be the best teachers possible, yet we need to remember our own limits. Great presentation!

I agree with the other two about the pictures. I also really enjoyed slide number nine. We need to emphasize sleep in our classes, if the students are not getting enough sleep they will not we able to work as hard. I also really enjoyed the last slide. Work is a blessing and we need to keep that in mind.

@Mindy, I'm completely with you on those points! :) I thought this slideshow was very neatly done and made some excellent points. Slide 9 made me laugh because the tone of the presentation had been fairly serious and then that picture along with the scripture reminded me of times where I've just crashed after working hard. I also love the scripture on the next slide--it's one that has brought me a lot of comfort when I feel like I have too much that I need to do. Great job!

I really liked this presentation. I also thought the pictures were effective and the background was appropriate. I especially liked how it mentioned that without work there would be no creation. I guess I had never thought of that before. Nothing in this world, or even the universe, would exist without work.

The presentation was great. I enjoyed the flow and design of the presentation. Great scriptures too.

I enjoyed the presentation mainly because I feel that it all meshed well together and stuck to the point. The pictures emphasized, and made the presentation easier to visualze! Great job!

I agree with Mckenzie about the last slide. Work needs to be seen as a blessing because of what we usually receive in return for our work. Fortunately, God always rewards us for our good works, and I think we can encourage a reward good work from our students. Good presentation!

This presentation is almost a work of art! The pictures, background, and message all have a slightly mechanical/scientific feel that goes excellently with the topic. I think it's interesting that work has been important since the creation, through the time of Proverbs, and even today. It is obviously an extremely important principle. This was definitely worth the wait!

One quote stood out to me in particular. "To teach effectively and to feel you are succeeding is demanding work indeed." I think feeling successful after knowing you have put in your best effort is really important. Great presentation!
