The resources in the PLN show no direction toward any particular teaching goal.

Sharing

At least some of the resources in the PLN are shared with the general public so that others may benefit. At least some of the resources in the PLN are shared with other members of this class so that they may benefit. The resources in the PLN are not shared at all.

It's something new for me so i think the rubric is great. I'll be busy trying to accomplish what has already been set.

I'm on the same page as crisco. It's going to be interesting.

Like the other two this is all really new to me. It will be very interesting to see how this will all turn out.

This rubric looks fine. Seeing a list of exactly will be expected from this assignment is actually quite helpful because of how new I am to this. It's hard to quickly understand which features will be most useful in Diigo (it seems like there's a lot you can do!), so starting with what is listed in the rubric will help me save time initially on features that won't be as effective.

The rubric looks fine to me too. I agree with Eric, it is nice to know what is expected, especially with something so foreign and new as diigo.

Same as everyone else--I feel like I need guidance with all this really new stuff, so the rubric looks good to me. Maybe this is a dumb question, but is the PLN our Google Reader or our Diigo account or both?

I think the rubric looks just fine too. I just hope how I can figure out how to do all of the things listed under organization. I've never tagged or annotated anything before--folders have always been sufficient organization for me.

@Meghan, your PLN will include both Google Reader and Diigo. Ideally, your personal learning network includes every resource and person that helps you learn. Diigo and Google Reader are just two tools to help you organize the digital resources that help you learn.

@Olivia, Folders are usually sufficient organization for me as well, but Diigo doesn't use folders and Google Reader doesn't use them the same way as most programs. I've come to appreciate tags through using Diigo and Google Reader. One really nice feature of tags is that you can categorize a single copy of something in multiple ways, something that folders won't allow. Let me know if you have any specific questions about using tags or any other alternative organization scheme.

The rubric seems fine, I am new to PLNs and I am not completely sure about everything. I'm glad we get a chance to see these rubrics help outline in our minds what is expect us us with these new technologies.

I am also pretty new at this, but I'm excited to start gathering pertinent information about teaching. The rubric looks good to me.

The rubric looks good to me. Like you Nicole, I am so incredibly new to this and it is kind of overwhelming in many ways. Hopefully I will be able to grasp it all well enough:)

This rubric is very broad which is perfect for the many sources for PLNs and the very diverse ways of creating one.
